Title: Am I Going To Heaven?

'Am I going to Heaven?' is a question that everyone needs to ask himself or herself.
Some people THINK that going to Heaven consists of:
- Keeping the Ten Commandments
- Doing Good Works
- Living a Good Life
- Church Membership
- Regular church attendance
- Tithing or Giving to a Church
- Water Baptism
- Trying to Be a Better Person
- Trying to obey the Golden Rule
- Born of Christian parents
All of these make sense, but these actions, activities and good works are not requirements for eternal life.
We don’t know your heart, and we don’t know what struggles you may face from day to day. Perhaps, you are faced with circumstances that you feel you can’t get through. Maybe it seems there is no way out, and you’re going under.
We can’t take away your troubles. We can’t relieve your pain and sorrow, and wipe away the tears.
But, we know the One who can. His name is JESUS. Have you ever met him?
If you have never met him, would you like to?
You can count on him, He’ll always be there for you in good times and bad.
(I will never leave you, nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5)
He’s a trusted companion.
(I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Matthew 28:20)
He’s a provider.
(But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19)
He’s a healer.
(But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5)
The Bible says, in John 15:13 -- Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. And this is exactly what JESUS did for all of us!
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
You see, JESUS is the Son of the only True and Living God. He gave His life as the supreme sacrifice for fallen man, to redeem us from our sinful nature that leads to death and hell.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you’ve done—Jesus loves you, even if you never invite Him into your life.
But, He truly desires to have a personal relationship with you, to save you from sin and death, and give you abundant life here and eternal life hereafter in Heaven.
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If you have never met Jesus, and you recognize the need for Him in your life, why not invite Him in now? All you have to do is speak to him, by faith, in prayer. It doesn’t require fancy words or rituals. All He asks is that you speak to Him with an open and sincere heart. It’s that simple.
There are no "magical" words that result in salvation. It is only faith in Jesus' death and resurrection that can save us. If you understand that you are a sinner and in need of salvation through Jesus Christ, here is a prayer you can pray to God.
Please note: This prayer below isn't any "official prayer", but rather a sample prayer to follow when asking Jesus into your heart. You can pray to God in your own words.
"God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!"
If you have sincerely prayed this prayer of salvation with true conviction and heart, you are now a follower of Jesus. This is a fact, whether or not you feel any different. Religious systems may have led you to believe that you should feel something - a warm glow, a tingle, or some other mystical experience. The fact is, you may, or you may not. If you have prayed the prayer of salvation and meant it, you are now a follower of Jesus. The Bible tells us that your eternal salvation is secure! "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)
This is only the beginning of a wonderful relationship, and a new life ahead of you! Tell a Christian friend or pastor about your new found friend in Jesus. Ask God to bring Godly counselors into your life to answer your questions and help you grow spiritually, remembering that God's Holy Word is the final authority. Nourish your faith by attending a Bible-believing church nearby and fellowshipping with other true believers.
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Thank you for allowing us to introduce you to Jesus!
If you have invited Jesus into your heart and life, please be sure to let us know. We'd like to include you in our prayers.
CONGRATULATIONS, AND WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!
